This blog is to share my search for games that are still played around the world. I wanted to learn enough games that I could go to any park, cafe or pub in the world and play a game with the locals.

  1. What a creative and fun way to connect with your environment. You often don’t need to speak the same language with the player if you both speak the game language : )

    • I think you are right about games cutting across language barriers. One of my favorite vacation memories is playing Chinese Chess in the park ,and not hearing a single word of English the whole time. Thanks so much for your comment.
